1) The main  DesignTools program (with Random Servicing added),
2) QuikSamp, a stand-alone work sampling program for the Palm Zire (works on OS v.5.4)
3) QuikTS, a time study program that collects data on a Palm Zire (works on OS v.5.4) and then uploads the data to DesignTools for analysis

1. For installation, download the large Zip file:   DesignTools and smaller Zip file QuikTS
2. Extract all of the zipped files in a folder of your choice.
3. Create a shortcut from the DesignTools.exe file.
4. Read the Word files for instructions on using the Palm, QuikSamp, and QuikTS.
5. If you are having trouble downloading from this site, try the McGraw-Hill URL site for version 3.0.

NOTE (primarily for laptop users): If you get a black box without text in some of the modules, you need to do the following: Click on start, then Control Panel, then Display, and change Themes and Appearances to Windows XP style

Note: 1) If you have trouble printing directly from DesignTools (i.e no printer or on network) you can always the Copy the image with the simultaneous activation of the three Control-Alt-PrintScreen buttons and Paste into a wordprocessor. This works on any MS Windows window.
2) If, when using DesignTools, you get black boxes in some of your displays, then:
       1) go to Control Panel (under Start)
       2) go to Display and set both Themes and Screen Saver to WindowsXP (rather than your default setting).
3) If, when using DesignTools, you receive an error message stating that WPIconicSymbolsA, WPIconicSymbolsB or WPMathA is  missing, then do the following:
 1) Click on the appropriate  missing file to download it to your temporary folder:  WPIconicSymbolsA, WPIconicSymbolsB,
 WPMathA or WPMathB.
 2) Install it on your PC, by clicking on the MY COMPUTER icon, go to CONTROL PANEL, then the FONTS folder, then click on  the FILE menu, select INSTALL, go to your temporary folder and highlight the WPHV05NA.TTF, WPHV05NB.TTF,  WPHV06NA.TTF or WPHV06NA.TTF file respectively and click on the OK button.
