A majority of the conference's activities and events conference will be held on campus at the Nittany Lion Inn, the Leonhard Building, and other buildings in close proximity.  Additionally, events will be occuring throughout campus such as the scavenger hunt and broomball (Ice Pavilion).  Students are also encouraged to visit downtown during their stay.  Click here to view an interactive map of campus or here to view the campus map as a PDF.  Additionally, free local bus loops are available around campus and the downtown areas from 6 AM to 2 AM daily.  Visit the Centre Area Transit Authority (CATA) web site for more information (include link).

The map below shows the best two routes from the Nittany Lion Inn (NLI) to the Leonhard Building (LND).  The red route is suggested as it utlalizes the IST bridge across Atherton Street (US 322) which must be crossed in the yellow route.  Either path should take approximately 10 minutes.

State College is accessible by road via a variety of scenic drives.  Driving directions to the Nittany Lion Inn are included below from a number of major metropolitan areas.  For those wishing to research your own directions using Google Maps, MapQuest, etc. the Nittany Lion Inn is located at 200 West Park Avenue, State College, PA 16803.  Parking is available in the Nittany Lion Deck for those staying at the Nittany Lion Inn and in the White Course lot next to the Leonhard Building after 5:00 PM on Friday; these two options are outlined in blue in the image above.

From New York City and the East:
Take I-80 W in PA to Exit 161 (Bellefonte). Follow PA 26 S to US 220 S, and take Exit 74 for Innovation Park/Penn State University. Stay in the left lane of the exit and follow the sign for Penn State University. This will become Park Avenue.  Travel Park Avenue to the stop light at Allen Street.  Turn left on Allen Street and then right on Fischer Road.  The Nittany Lion Parking Deck will be on your left followed by the Nittany Lion Inn.

From Philadelphia:
Take the PA Turnpike/I-76 W to Exit 247 (Harrisburg East), and follow signs for the next 15 miles to Route 322 W. Take 322 W past Lewistown toward State College (stay on 322 W towards Philipsburg), and take the Penn State University/Innovation Park Exit. Turn right at the stop light and follow Park Avenue. Travel Park Avenue to the stop light at Allen Street.  Turn left on Allen Street and then right on Fischer Road.  The Nittany Lion Parking Deck will be on your left followed by the Nittany Lion Inn.

From Harrisburg:
Take 322 W past Lewistown toward State College (stay on 322 W towards Philipsburg), and take the Penn State University/Innovation Park Exit. Turn right at the stop light and follow Park Avenue. Travel Park Avenue to the stop light at Allen Street.  Turn left on Allen Street and then right on Fischer Road.  The Nittany Lion Parking Deck will be on your left followed by the Nittany Lion Inn.

From Pittsburgh:
Take Route 22 E to Duncansville. Merge onto Route 220/I-99 N toward Altoona and go north for 24 miles. Turn right onto US 220 toward State College for 11 miles; merge onto Route 322 E to State College.  Exit onto Business Route 322/N. Atherton Street, past a variety of businesses.  At the light at Park Avenue, turn left.  The Inn is on your right.

From the West:

From Washington, DC:
Take Route 270 N toward Frederick and then I-70 west and north to the PA Turnpike W. At Bedford take US 220/I-99 N toward Altoona and go north for 24 miles. Turn right onto US 220 toward State College for 11 miles; merge onto Route 322 E to State College. Exit onto Business Route 322/N. Atherton Street, past a variety of businesses.  At the light at Park Avenue, turn left.  The Inn is on your right.

Northwest/Delta Airlink, United Express and US Airways Express serve the State College area through the University Park Airport (SCE), located five miles from campus.  Free pick up for those staying at the Nittany Lion Inn as well as rental car, limousine, and taxi services are available.

Private or charter aircraft may also fly into University Park Airport. Please call (814) 865-5511 to make arrangements.

Located ninety miles southeast of State College, Harrisburg International Airport offers an alternative arrival and departure location. Airlines serving Harrisburg include Air Canada, American Eagle, Continental, Delta, Northwest, United, and US Airways. Rental car service is available. 

From University Park Airport:
Head northwest on S Fillmore Rd toward Airport Rd/Fox Hill Rd/State Route 3005 for 0.3 miles. Take the first left onto Fox Hill Road for 1.5 miles. Continue onto Fox Hollow Road for 1.9 miles. Turn right at Park Avenue and stay on Park Avenue for 1.4 miles. The Nittany Lion Inn will be on your left.

Fullington Trailways (814-238-1100) and Greyhound Lines (814-238-7971) connections are available to and from State College. The Bus Terminal is located at 152 North Atherton Street, less than a 10 minute walk from the Nittany Lion Inn and one block from the Leonhard Building.
