· April 6th, 2005 - Laurie Dutton, manager of Decision Support, Praxair, Inc. “Everything you need to know about OR (that they don’t teach you in school)”

· February 19th, 2004 - The Beer Game (multi-echelon supply chain game) See Photos 

· November 13, 2003 - OR games. Trivia Quiz, Crossword and N-Queens. 

· April 15, 2003 - Guest Speaker: Ken Reeves, Director of Forecast Operations and Expert Senior Meteorologist at Accuweather, Inc.. 

· November 5, 2002 - Hands on OR experience (using OR strategies for playing games). 

· March 28, 2002 - Faculty panel on OR applications in the industry (Speakers: Drs. Wysk, Harmonosky and Gautam). 

· November 29, 2001 - Faculty panel on application areas of operations research methods (Dr. Ravindran: OR/MS in healthcare planning, Dr. Kelton: Applications of Simulation, Dr. Cavalier: OR/MS in manufacturing and quality control, and, Dr. Harrison: Overview of OR/MS applications). 

· April 11, 2001 - Talk by Dr. Terry Harrison titled, "Optimizing Pre-Positioned Strategic Assets for the US Army". 

· September, 2000: Student panel on job opportunities for OR in industry and academia. 

· April 11, 2000 - Second annual student conference sponsored by The Penn State INFORMS Student Chapter and Penn State Operations Research Program (11 students presented papers in this conference).  

· April 12, 1999: The first OR student conference sponsored by INFORMS student chapter at Penn State and the Operations Research group. Eleven students presented papers at this conference. 

· March 2, 1999: Talk by Ed Coffman, Lucent Technologies. 

· November 30, 1998:  Dr. Jeffrey Arthur, visiting professor from Oregon State University presented his work on the application of operations research in environmental engineering 

· September 23, 1998: Mike Marino of Ingersoll-Rand did a presentation on one-piece flow manufacturing 

· April 13, 1998: Dean Belitskus, a Penn State graduate, spoke with us about working for the OR Group at DuPont.
