About the PSU Student Chapter of INFORMS

The PSU student chapter of INFORMS (Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences) hopes to serve as a "gateway" to the world of Operations Research (OR), so that students who are curious or serious about pursuing careers in OR (in both academia and industry) have the resources they need to INFORM (pun intended) themselves. Any and all Penn State students who are interested in the field of operations research and management science are considered members of the PSU student chapter of INFORMS. Our chapter organizes at least one meeting per semester, to which we invite speakers or organize activities that relate to operations research practice and research. These meetings also provide students who have similar interests with the opportunity to interact socially. You can see a list of out past events here. The website hosted by our chapter also provides useful links that students interested in learning more about operations research can follow. Anyone who desires more information about our chapter is welcome to contact one of our current officers.
